Workshop 1 Understanding and Promoting Open Source in Railways
Open source is often mentioned, yet its principles, stakeholders and real-world successes are not always easy to explain.
This workshop offers a collective moment to clarify what open source truly means for the railway sector — its foundations, its benefits, and its tangible outcomes. By sharing experiences, participants will build a common understanding and find the right arguments and examples to better explain and promote open source within their organizations.

Workshop 2 Exploring and Shaping the Future of Open Source in Railways
After understanding the foundations, it’s time to look ahead.
This workshop brings together diverse perspectives to identify new areas, ideas or projects where open source could make a real difference. The goal: to collectively explore the next opportunities for collaboration and imagine how the OpenRail community can turn them into concrete and sustainable projects.
